This presentation is about a brief study of the electronic poetry in Brazil, under a historic approach and in a path from the use of the 20th and 21st centuries technologies (computer, internet, web), which has been producing a poetry that puts together word, image (static and/or animated) and sound in the electronic-digital media, using the interface, the interactivity, the hypertextuality and the hypermedia, which the chosen denomination was “electronic poetry”, since this term is the most used in the academic environment. It has been chosen to map the main production of electronic poetry in Brazil since its origins up to nowadays. This historic line deals with the relationships between poetry and computer and its first moments, in the 70’s, in the time of the first PCs, in the 80’s and 90’s, and from the developement of the WWW, from 1995 up to now.
